I’m a big fan of the Police in Vegas, because they’re just there to keep the party going.

Much like in parades or other events, the police helps keep the peace and allow for people to keep partying. Unless you have a lame ass Karen as the City Councilor or police chief or someone complaining about noise five blocks away at the annual sanctioned block parties.

The main money river cash flow into Vegas is the Casinos, besides the drugs and corruption and other good stuff you can buy off-street. Yea, so the Police helps to keep the Casinos running and the Party going.

The socialists would have you believe that the Police are there to side with the corporations.

They’re right.

Duh, if the Casinos weren’t around then New Vegas would probably be a shit hole.

Look at any other industrial city that lost it’s industry.

Flint, Detroit, most of the Steel near Pennsylvania and Ohio or the Coal plants just slightly south. If the major movers and players weren’t moving or playing, then everyone’s way of life changes. No influx of cash, means no money. No money means dumb shit and less authoritarian measures to maintain the order that is the status quo.

Things change. Not always for the worse, but not guaranteed for the better either.

I don’t know where I was going with this, but I just wanted to give a good shout out to the positive vibes in Vegas.
