People get a convicted label and become a convict at some penal institution, private or public, and are pimped out as labor for the state or private enterprise, to include corporations, to make or work or use labor to grease the wheels of the economy.
Extortion happens as an emotional appeal to family members and loved ones, fees for services and provisions for the prisoner’s as well as their phone calls and more, are systemically priced in to cost more money per visitation and usage. Ultimately relying on the good fortune of people paying for these services.
Point is, Prisons make money from their prisoners and the greedy ones try to maximize all the ways they can make money. They’d sell you an upcharge to facetime on collect calls if they could (FCC made some rules 2024).
To include cutting costs by not providing basic human services. (oh, this is also a lot worse in Female prisons, because care in general is shit in prisons but feminine care is more shit in general).

The common joke people make outside of Prison is that you go to prison and you either get beat up, raped, or kill some body. Turns out, all of that is not okay and not respecting of your basic human rights.
Depending on if you see prison as a punishment or a remedial, then you’ll come to some hard questions. Like if you have to break the law in prison to survive, isn’t it the prisons’ fault and the system’s fault? Do you want people to learn their lesson more or suffer more? Which is it? because both ain’t the right answer.
Philosophical questions aside- Arkansas had such a shit private prison system that the US department of Justice shut down a whole operation at a private prison. In turn Arkansas went ahead and just did away with private prisons in their state.
“In 2003, the U.S. Department of Justice released a report concluding that conditions at these privately managed facilities in Arkansas were unconstitutional, citing deliberate indifference to serious medical needs, lack of protection from physical and sexual harm, and unsafe and unsanitary conditions”. -Internet
In any case, our prison systems utilize all of the above tactics and more to ensure they squeeze out the most emotional damage while also profiteering. There are all sorts of hidden financial systems and incentives with bail bonds and other S-Corp related 10 digit CUSIPs that profit from these systems, I’m not going to go all Anti-Fed Reserve bank on you, but there’s a deeper rabbit hole that I elude to.
Point being, Prisons that are private are for profit and shit on their prisoners and make life shit and try to maximize both prisoners and profit. Thereby incentivizing institutionalism and recidivist reconviction rates as well as maintaining the current ‘stock’ of ‘human resources’ in their prisons.
This is not a good look fammo.
Prisons are leased out, managed, owned/operated, or some combination of the previous to maximize some sort of Private S-Corp style small business shop to run the books.
As it stands, the US makes up about 5% of the world pop, but we’re in the lead with 20% of the world’s total prison population;

“There are more than 10.35 million people incarcerated throughout the world with the most being in the United States–more than 2.2 million.” – Source (High estimate compared to the following data below)
Hey, atleast we’re beating China and Russia. USA, Number 1!

And this is a growing concern;

It is to note, that the dip in the rise or increase was partly due to the lax drug laws and such to include legalizing state level marijuana and people generally being chill. Turns out, the war on drugs is a stupid idea, and entrapment cases as well as the government drugging up populations of people is a retarded idea. Coupled with the amount of undercover cops arresting undercover cops, it’s fucking dumb. Anyhoot, the rates have somewhat adjusted for that.
Some people are still in prison serving life time felonies for a bag of weed, and we have corpos shilling out weapons-grade dope through a vaporizer pen. It’s a brave new world for sure.
And recidivists mean there are more people returning within a decade to fill these prisons;

So those people that got released from prison, chances are, they’ll be back in prison in the next ten years. 80% likely to happen based on those figures above. Making that little ‘dip’ earlier a small footnote in what is projected to be a lot of more prisoners.
And if prisons can’t fill them then they transfer them or ‘let em loose’;
Not just Venezuela, but California had several measures that allowed some convicts to enjoy a form of parole or release. To include; Public Safety Realignment (2011), Proposition 36 (2012), Proposition 47 (2014), COVID-19 Pandemic Measures (2020), and more surely.
And there are systems and pathways with all sorts of psychological and subliminal propaganda spread out in music and entertainment to entrain and shackle impressionable minds to get them to commit crimes through a form of subtle brain washing glorifying violent offenses and indentured servitude to go into prison networks and receive the equivalent of a criminal collegiate degree and experience. This is by design.
It is to note that the shittier the economy is, the less job oppurtunities there are, the more ghost jobs there are, and other factors making a shit job market with high inflation and cost of living all means this-
More Crime.
In Closing
When living life means either dying or doing crime, people tend to pick crime.
Desperate times calls for desperate measures, and crime typically is one of the lower options after others are exhausted.
But the more you do crime, the more higher of an option it becomes. Something about normalization and pathology and other psychological shit you should probably learn.
As the current state of affairs in the socio-economics of society outside of prisons- it appears that we’re looking to have more prisoners in our US prison systems. At least we’ll maintain first place in the world. Which can lead to a problem and a growing endemic in the US population as we’re seeing declining birth rates, population deflation, divorce rates, broken families, and more issues.
Also, if Trump and the Border ‘Tzar’ do more detention and shits then the population for both prison and jail and deportations will probably rise. This is just a side note or foot note.
I mean, politicians are wanting to export citizens and voters from immigrant and migrant populations for their votes and labor force. Where’s a Sam Hyde Dear Elon Musk video when you need one?
Oh, and the US constitution allows slavery in the case of convicted prisoners per the 13th amendment;

So you can see why a growing interest in having a slave population is a good thing for the bottom line of profits.
