I beseech thee, dear wayward soul embarking on the digital odyssey, come hither and share with us, a story for a while.

I implore you to read this passage of the woes of yester-century;
Grapes of Wrath;
Here thee, an excerpt from the times of dustbowls, troubles, and migration of 1939’s;
The decay spreads over the State, and the sweet smell is a great sorrow on the land. Men who can graft the trees and make the seed fertile and big can find no way to let the hungry people eat their produce. Men who have created new fruits in the world cannot create a system whereby their fruits may be eaten. And the failure hangs over the State like a great sorrow.
The works of the roots of the vines, of the trees, must be destroyed to keep up the price, and this is the saddest, bitterest thing of all. Carloads of oranges dumped on the ground. The people came for miles to take the fruit, but this could not be. How would they buy oranges at twenty cents a dozen if they could drive out and pick them up? And men with hoses squirt kerosene on the oranges, and they are angry at the crime, angry at the people who have come to take the fruit. A million people hungry, needing the fruit—and kerosene sprayed over the golden mountains.
And the smell of rot fills the country.
Burn coffee for fuel in the ships. Burn corn to keep warm, it makes a hot fire. Dump potatoes in the rivers and place guards along the banks to keep the hungry people from fishing them out. Slaughter the pigs and bury them, and let the putrescence drip down into the earth.
There is a crime here that goes beyond denunciation. There is a sorrow here that weeping cannot symbolize. There is a failure here that topples all our success. The fertile earth, the straight tree rows, the sturdy trunks, and the ripe fruit. And children dying of pellagra must die because a profit cannot be taken from an orange. And coroners must fill in the certificate—died of malnutrition—because the food must rot, must be forced to rot.The people come with nets to fish for potatoes in the river, and the guards hold them back; they come in rattling cars to get the dumped oranges, but the kerosene is sprayed. And they stand still and watch the potatoes float by, listen to the screaming pigs being killed in a ditch and covered with quick-lime, watch the mountains of oranges slop down to a putrefying ooze; and in the eyes of the people there is the failure; and in the eyes of the hungry there is a growing wrath. In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage.
-chapter 25
Such a scene,
Woe would be the society that casts it’s abundance, the fruitful and bountiful, armed with coercion and law to prevent the feeding of the masses. When a Society would rather waste and give not. To allow those who suffer to stack their sufferings in a game of forced one-upmanship. Cruxed to Crutches.
Simply to toss asunder the excess goods away until the goods are left to be bads for no man, woman, nor starving child.
Today in our Adderall and technology ridden society, our ‘Modern Times’ Grocery stores throw away food. Donuts thrown out, meat, vegetables, even supplies that are non-perishable. All for what? Naught? Naught a bit of shelf space? To maintain the status quo?
Food left to rot are thrown away at the end of each day;

And people who are employed in such positions are ordered to spray the trash down with water, to fester the decay, a putrid act to add putrification to resources, to treat the goods until they spoil. All so that it spoils faster and prevents anyone from using it.
Some working for a ‘living wage’ have to resort to getting their supply of food from the refuse that they put out.

How can a business, that deals in food, not have or pay enough to feed it’s workers?
(Pro tip, if you work in the food industry, and you don’t get free food, I’d suggest leaving. Especially if they throw out stuff at the end of the day. And no, a discount isn’t the same.)
How can you expect people to work to make food that they themselves can’t afford? What sort of business do you operate in which your sales people don’t endorse your product due to their inability to afford it based on wages you pay or other systemic circumventing factors? If you don’t believe in the product, how else do you think it will sell? Would the food taste good? Would people add the ‘give a fuck’ flavoring to it?
Atleast in the 1940’s Grapes of Wrath, the waste only lasted a season of depression.
In the modern world, the waste happens at the end of every shift daily and it’s called ‘closing’.
To prevent those that dive in dumpsters,
Police are used as guardsmen to prevent theft of trash

Trash is apparently more valuable than Human Life
Because Trash is Property,
yet Humans -when not objectified- are less than property
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, yet society is stingy for the things they leave to rot. As if the toilet is more valuable when used rather than un-used.
With so much intentional waste in society, you should know (by now) that scarcity is artificially manufactured. To funnel and feed the behemoth of consumeristic culture.
The ideas of ‘war on poverty’ and ‘war on hunger’ are not being Fought, no, they’re being maintained.
We have enough food to actually feed people, the problem is people are greedy and would rather see people suffer for profits and power, to strip the people of choice and ability, to strip the people of power and negotiating rights. A Power Play.
To force the hand of the working class to make a choice between self respect and ‘settling’ for a bite of bread.
Whatever the current organizations are doing, we can do a lot better.
It is barely past the early fifth of the 21st Century and Food and housing aren’t recognized as a human right, yet we have enough food and housing for the people that we would let the homes sit empty and let the food spoil.
I would say to imagine that, yet it’s all around you. No need to imagine.
So you’re going to work until you die
For things that society could already provide and for things that are thrown away.
Because “a Hungry dog is an obedient dog” and most spirits have resigned themselves to die a dogs’ death.
We have enough homes in excess of people, yet we still have people unhomed.
The threat of homelessness is a bludgeon to Whip and Stick the working class into acting ‘prim and proper’.
Just as the threat of starvation.
Just as much as the threat of unemployment.
We have unemployment numbers, yet people work two or three jobs. Pray tell, how does that happenstance make sense?
What’s worse is, that even people with full time jobs are homeless. Does a living wage not equate to a home? Is a home not a human right? Is working not enough to afford a home? Is this the way we structure society?
And the group that gets taxed the most is not investors, entrepreneurs, or the Capital class, it’s the workers.
Over Worked, Underpaid, Overtaxed, monetarily and energetically, all to spend the majority of your check to rent, bills, and taxes. Does that not sound like share cropping?
Are you left with more than half of your pay at the end of the month?
It’s slavery by any other name.
If we are to continue this path that we’ve been on, then we only enable more and more consumerism, inflation, and waste. Perpetuating a Culture where people are stripped of Freedom and Choice in a Monetary Fascismo way. It’s utterly Un-American and-
It’s the Grapes of Wrath 21st Century edition.
In Closing,
“Do not measure the grandiosity of a society on it’s tall towers or golden domes. Measure it on how well it looks after the least of it’s members.”
Poetry aside, I think there’s something fucky about society. A lot of good is happening, and I happen to be the type of fella to focus on the shadows and evils. The more people, the more reoccurring problems.
If in a society homelessness and theft were a problem plotted against population density, then the larger populations would result in more crime and more suffering.
But the crux of the matter is not population.
Sure, population is an input, but those retarded Globalists with their Malthusian ideas think the solution is in ridding the world of population. Ah yes, let’s end suffering by ending it all. With no observer, no human, then surely suffering won’t exist. Ignore animals and plants and other sentient beings.
It’s utterly idiosyncratically asininely retarded.
The solution isn’t a purge or a culling, no matter how effective it may seem.
We should fix systemic issues with something that can last a little longer than it takes to fix. That’s the maintenance we owe to maintain ourselves, and society.
Fuck, I wouldn’t be upset if we just adopted Nuclear Power or free energy. Let’s get perpetual interdimensional energy harnessing plants going already, how are we so behind the times in tech?
