Hiring people for diversity should only really make sense if the diversity is leverageable to increase the quality of life (the culture) thus in term delivering a better product in a business. Or if the diverse background and experiences are actually delivering a better product in business through unique insights and skills (like a chemical engineer teaming up with a Biologist to deliver healthy doses of genocide to some foreign country).
It’s not to hire some cunt just because of -reasons- or -good boy corporate points-.
As such, you need to know what tokenism is to know that ‘Diversity hire’ is a racist term in the office work place.
Tokenism is;

Virtue signaling.
So, being called a “Diversity Hire” just means you’re being hired for the color of your skin and not for your actual work or efforts or contributions. Thusly, it means that they don’t expect shit from you. The company just wants their cultural ratings or score to go up and look like they’re inclusive.
It’s an insult and rather disrespectful and degrading.
But also, they don’t expect shit from you. So that’s a plus.
If you don’t actually care about other people’s opinions (because you’re enlightened and you know that coworkers aren’t your friends nor are they family) then who gives a fuck. On the bright side, you’re given an opportunity to work the mines, or coast and be a shit bag true to your color or lack there of. It’s got some ups and downs.
It’s ultimately a good gig with a insulting title. So, yea.

Yes, there’s this amazing gig in South East Asian companies, to include China, and other non-white countries.
They’re Called White Monkey Jobs.

They basically use White Racism to make money. They hire white people to look good and pretend to work in the office environment. You don’t have to do anything but be white. There are some really cake deals, clock in, scroll some shitty non-censored websites, clock out.
It’s kind of a great deal, ngl.

I’m talking about DEI, or Diversity, equity, and inclusion. A Metric used by the banking cartel to make sure large companies are following something that isn’t necessarily profit driven and are actually used to lower the margins of a business every financial quarter and summary given.
DEI itself is a financial and monetary weapon to gauge companies in terms of corporate backing and funding, used to give counsel to a company to run smear campaigns or justify reasons why their stock price can rise or plummet.
Because -diversity-.

In Closing
Being a Diversity hire is a good thing if you want to coast and not do shit. Which in most cases, is the most optimal thing to do (outside of enriching your life through meaningful or ‘gainful’ employment in a specific field or venture of business (and doing well at a job is a double edged sword)).
Which can also mean that you’re or decreasing productivity for the current system and status quo. Which can be good or bad depending on a multi-faceted factor of things, like your pay, how well they treat you, ‘work ethic’ and other shit that may or may not help you get through life.
The golden rule applies here, if a company treats you like shit, regardless if it’s a large or small company, I hope you do the same to them. Inversely, if they’re cool as fuck, then contribute and keep it frosty.
