• raises taxes to have higher cash in flows

• add more penalties and restrictions
• add more stipulations
• Basically social security became a scam.

The only other recourse would be to have old retired people die early by some sort of angel of death. Maybe a pandemic or maybe a shitty VA Hospital Parking lot.

Point is, some greedy fucks in government found out that they don’t have to pay your pension if you’re dead.

In fact, most of them think that Social Security debt and National Debt are eyesores that shouldn’t be dealt with directly and only kicked down the road for our future generations to deal with. As if.

Simply by making wild suggestions like if they just increase the retirement age every two years for every year.

So, yea….

Even if you got your so called ‘benefit’

With inflation rates and the cost of living, getting an apartment rent is on average;

Average Social Security benefits are, well;

On average, good luck living a comfy life with that spare 300 bucks or so a month. This is of course assuming you don’t have any retirement plans or pensions elsewhere being gambled by some wealth fund manager in a volatile stock market.

Chances are, you could be on the low end of Social Security with less than the average.

That’s how averages work.

Anyways, you’d be priced out of most metropolitan cities and small cities. Just saying.

So Social Security isn’t enough to secure your lifestyle after working for paying into it.

Also, the Government is diminishing it

You know, the same crackhead that owes a fuckton-

Social Security is just another lever arm for ‘taxes’ imposed onto the people, like Sales Tax, Property tax, or inflation, or etc. More things to make living unaffordable based on some good idea fairy that died many moons ago.
