In America, if we grossly simplify things, there’s basically three camps, The Left, The Right, and People like me who honestly don’t give a fuck.
But in terms of Social media, there’s a large push and pull between the Tech Giants.
When Trump got removed from Twitter, There was Parler and Truth Social. January 2021.
Then When Elon Musk bought Twitter and renamed it X (April 2022), Instagram tried to start Threads as a way to combat Twitter.
Now that Elon Backed up Trump and he won the election (2024), People on the Left are flocking to the new social media app Blueskies (something started by Twitter in 2019).
And Fed Posting and all other subversive campaigns are being ran on all platforms above, including posting of Hateful Neo Fascism to subvert the appeal and image of the above. It’s a tale as old as time.
I just wanted to commentate on how things on the digital landscape are evolving.
As a side note;
There are more issues than just politics being the driving factor for people moving. Often times politics is the front facing mask for ideologies, belief systems, and value systems. So people move for different reasons and their inter-relationships are their own. Like whether they support AI scraping, API changes, Monetization, Fed posting, etc. etc.
In Closing
My whole take on this, is that people aren’t feeling like they’re being heard or respected when certain big tech companies push certain things. Especially with censorship or fact checking. The side that can incorporate the biggest truth will prevail, and people ought to do some reflective reasoning to see if they’re being like the other side.
Because chances are, if you did any of the moving above, then you’re acting similarly to the other side.
You idiots have a lot more in common than you think.
Just don’t confuse Nationalism with Racism or with Socialist states, and we’ll be fine. They are all different things. But if you unify all three, you get something that shouldn’t be.
I’m talking about Nazi’s you fucks. Too much of any of these things and you’ll have a Fascist State. So any of these; Hyper Nationalism, Stupid Big Government Socialism, or Racial Supremacy will lead to the other two. -Because Power and ideologies consolidate, duh.
