Imagine this, your doctor hooks you up on the opioid crisis, your health insurance cuts you off for -reasons-, you suffer withdrawals, and you find your way into using hardcore street drugs from questionable people and ‘friends’ at a mixer, then you get in trouble with the law and are court ordered rehab. All for listening to some shitty doctor that was getting kickbacks to get you hooked on this shit.
Now you got court ordered rehab, an intervention like that shitty reality tv drama, or the option to do rehab or jail. So you’re in rehab.
Rehab, turns out, profits from patients being in rehab. They profit from people going onto their rehab sites, and some of the rehab centers literally put people to work on farms as laborers disguised as rehab. The point is, Rehab makes money. It takes money. They like money. They’re going to incentivize a system that profits from treatment and not the cure, just like every other ‘medical treatment’ system.
Of course, not all rehab and therapists are like this.
Just the shitty ones.
This is, a multi-billion dollar rehab industry. Double digits.
The short and simple;
People profit from rehab.
Greedy and shitty people will give shitty rehab and suck up insurance money.
When your insurance money runs out, they’ll cut you to the streets or find another way to siphon money from loved ones or the government.
Some shitty Rehab centers, will try to piggy back off of other people’s insurance when one of the patient’s that they came with lose insurance, this is illegal, but they do this shit.
Rehab profits the more patients that it has. So they’ll likely try to keep you in rehab with more 13 step programs and fake ‘therapy’. Hell, they’d invent a 500 step program if they could.
Rehab might also use patients for labor disguised as treatment, but is really indentured servitude, like an internship but you (or your insurance) pay for it.
They say you got to get treatment from another place, and shuffle you around to many places, that get kickbacks to provide specific care at each stop. Every center gets kickbacks for shuffling you to and from their location. It’s medical trafficking.
Rehab is incentivized to not treat patients and to keep them, using patients as a means to make money and leverage that to possibly lobby for laws and point at mental health issues to funnel more government/public money into expansion and programs sucking more money from the government that they paid to lobby.
Also, in the eyes of the law and police, they just see you as a druggie, subhuman, and side with the rehab workers. If they say something, their say goes. You might have all your shit taken and hidden, and you’re at the whim and mercy of these Rehab workers that can lie to the police and keep you in rehab longer. No witnesses, no phones, no cameras. All lies documented on your charts for more meds.
Hell, some places have patients die, and sometimes it’s ruled ‘suicide’ or sometimes this hell hole is that bad that it’s actually suicide.
When you get a money wheel going, you got a shitty business model that can work.

It is to note, that Health Insurance is tiered in their eyes. People with PPO insurance are treated like golden gooses to Rehab centers. Which is a reason why having good insurance can fuck you over. Because now these places are seeing you as big dollar signs.
Some other Rehab noise
There’s referral bonuses offered by these places, to pay big bucks, like 2.5 or 5 bands or so per head that you get to show up to rehab. It’s like an MLM cult. They know they’re going to get their money back if they get the patients to start showing up to their program (they charge anywhere between 10,000 to 80,000 a WEEK per patient), I wouldn’t be surprised if they had contractual obligations to show for treatment that surrenders some rights of patients to the rehab centers based on ‘addiction’ or ‘mentally unsafe’.
And people refer others because they think, rehab is good, and referral bonus is money. So most suckers are scammed into signing up more people to the scam. It’s an MLM man. Kind of like Mormonism or Scientology.
Chances are though, you referred them and you’re drugged up and they lied or didn’t pay you.
Some assholes will tell you to lie upfront on your intake forms into rehab, to say you’re doing more drugs and more quantities snake-ly selling you the idea that you get stronger drugs and higher potency to ‘help’. All of this is part of the scam and hustle to make you seem super ‘needy’ based on medical records.
Some rehab centers put you in so much medication that you’re fucking out (probably shouldn’t have lied on your intake forms). Some sort of narcotics or Bennies, so much Benadryl that you end up worse than opioids. Zombie mode. They’re having people nod out in treatment centers and during visitation with the family and are overmedicated like zombies. Because the overhead of watching a zombie daycare, is pretty hassle free.
Hard to advocate for your own sanity and health when you’re not conscious. Body is bodying but the mind isn’t there. Lights are on but no one’s home, type of thing.
Weird that they’ll overmedicate and drug you, but when you do it, it’s a crime. Just saying. I Guess a drug dealer with a medical license is state sanctioned. Ha.
They’ll overmedicate you, treat you like a zombie, and not give you the education or anything to avoid drug abuse or even actual practical advice or therapy. Why would they try to talk to someone zonked out their fucking minds? Oh, they don’t have to, because it’s useless when you’re not there. They like that, less overhead, less maintenance. Hassle free.
The massive drugs given to you means that when the patients aren’t at the rehab or treatment centers, they typically get withdrawals from the medication of benzos or other shit that they were massively over drugging in these centers. Giving you another reason to be in rehab, you can’t get the drugs to fend of the withdrawals that can quite literally kill you if you don’t get that diagnosed and documented in your medical history and charts by an honest doctor. Chances are you’ll go to this same place, your connect or plug, rehab center and they’ll lie about the script and keep you there for as long as the cash is flowing.
If you get out of the rehab centers with a lot of meds and you fuck with the streets, then the other street druggies will find out which centers are ‘generous’ with their medication and doses. It’s advertising for drug abusers to find the place that can hook them up. Chances are, they’ll even camp or scout out people that leave, in hopes of scoring some drugs to flip or use.
And if you try to go to another detox center that cares, they drug test you, and if you have drugs in your system, they usually don’t take you in because it’s a liability. They’ll refer you to go back to in-patient care or where ever you were previously.
Speaking of honest doctors, some of these places have doctors with several licenses revoked and all sorts of issues. They don’t just shuffle patients, they shuffle doctors too. Got a sexual assault claim or some other issues because some crackpot was assaulting a zombie? Just be like the Catholic church and shuffle your doctor priest around. The next time the patient sees the same doctor, they’ll probably fucked up on meds or withdrawal, or worse, both.

The Halfway Hustle Home
In some cases, halfway homes for rehab will try to fuck you over and treat you worse than shit and break down your mental health. Some might even charge rent through non-monetary means;
Some people call them ‘Flop houses’ because they want you to fail;
They’ll have an unresponsive and overly corrupt and abusive narcissist to run the house, damaging your mental health, and abusing you. With a litany of possible issues, to cause you to run away or relapse to drugs because you’d rather be a zombie in a treatment center than awake and conscious in a shitty hell hole designed to be hell.
And these managers are typically in on the deal.
These Half Way homes are actually Trap houses where lots of drugs are used and passed around, and the manager will randomly pick people to send them back off to the gulags of the Rehab Center for kickbacks. This is how these managers get their god complex, sending people back to the looney bin and getting power and authority that they abuse. So they shuffle you from rehab centers, detox centers, halfway houses, over and over for money.
Some of these Halfway homes run other scams like scam call centers or other side unethical hustles, besides just flipping scripts and pills in tandem with the Rehab Centers.

It sure as hell seems to be a thing in movie and music industries, where drugs and money flow. Lithium handlers and Rehab Therapists. These industries that like money coalesce, there’s a venn-diagram and I’m sure there’s people that have their hands in all of these industries to move ‘talent’ to bind them with ‘golden’ or ‘silver’ handcuff contracts. You know, as the contracts state- the ‘artist’.
Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if these people got ‘Brittany Spears-ed‘ and had their rights and agency waived by their guardianship like a parent or a close one that also gets kickbacks for keeping and selling a person into essentially slavery.
People who are poor and struggling with mental health as well as addiction are prime targets for all sorts of exploitation, whether it’s selling their body to a strip club or whore house, or the military, or other government ladder pipelines to ‘redeem’ yourself in society.

The system also disincentivize good rehab
If your rehab is good and is working. Your health insurance providers might cut you off.
This is called Progress denial. The moment you make progress, they try to step you down to less expensive treatment;
Which also means, rehab centers are going to avoid progress denial, so they can collect more money from Health Insurance, meaning they are incentivized to not give you care that actually leads to progress or rehab.
So health insurance is also not your friend here;
I wouldn’t be surprised if a health care insurance company was preferring one clinic or rehab center, to keep it in house and in network, to launder more money. -And anytime you try to go out of network or to a rehab center that actually works, I wouldn’t be surprised if they denied you’re claims to keep you trapped.
They’ll use terms like ‘step therapy’ or ‘coverage denial’ to push and funnel you into shittier treatment options to save insurance companies money, or to put their money in their laundering health care operations that are -coincidentally- in network.
In essence, Rehab likes you being in rehab and takes money. They like money. Health insurance companies like money. It wouldn’t be surprising to see a health insurance provider also be behind the rehab scam scandal resulting in services to keep people in rehab and profit from them while shutting down rehab clinics that actually help with progress. Money likes money.
