Apparently with reports of sending $50 or so million dollars of condoms to Gaza Strip, Palestine, everyone in their armchairs are becoming Condom Economics experts and making shitposts.

There is yet no objective evidence to state that there is Condom funding economics from USAID. It has yet to be revealed or it’s a bluff. But arguably, you can always say that you stopped or prevented further funding and you’d be correct. “I stopped myself from buying condoms”, technically you are correct if you prove that you didn’t buy condoms.
So it’s objectively clear based on those claims, that they stopped or prevented further funding. (unless you see in the next few months USAID money going to condoms)

Technically the WH Press Secretary and Trump based on those claims above are telling the truth. -But the question is whether there was any funding to begin with is still up for debate (specifically from USAID).
So a lot of the fact checkers don’t have the facts and are making conjecture or trying to weave a narrative based on what facts they do have.
Personally, I don’t want any amount of US dollars to go to fund anything in any other country that doesn’t align explicitly and publicly with US citizen interests. Condoms for a laundering organization to hand a few out? Get the fuck out of here.
Side note,
Technically all US money as ‘aid’ going to any country is technically US AID. It’s just not USAID.
So, yea, depending on if they mean the department specifically or aid in general.
Technically the US did spend 45 milly that did pay for condoms in Gaza Strip. That is true.
In Closing
Honestly, we should (also) investigate some of the funding for things like Foreign Veteran’s services for our greatest ally under the Shekel foundation. I’m not making that up, look it up yourself. Why not fund Veterans here and look after our own instead of other countries?
